What is it about?

A downscaling approach for wind energy has been developed. This approach enables the computation of wind energy potentials on the regional scale from large-scale sea level pressure fields. It can therefore be used to quantify the wind energy potentials in a large ensemble of global climate model scenarios including future climate projections and decadal predictions.
