Why is it important?
As the number of breast cancer cases rises, new tools are required to face the growing cancer burden. Applying principals of value-based care is essential to maintaining quality and access to radiation therapy. This article introduces a quality technique that advances the evidence base for quality, value-based care.
Perspectives
This project came about as a result of our teams constant drive to improve quality. The publication of our results is a great example of the role of peer review in pragmatic improvement. The article is a solid contribution to a niche area of radiation therapy where a further evidence base is sought.
