Why is it important?

This is the first longitudinal study of brain changes in chronic fatigue syndrome over a long term.

Perspectives

The results suggest that chronic fatigue syndrome is a chronic illness with abnormal connections among brain regions and those connection deficits continue to deteriorate post onset.
