Why is it important?

This paper contributes to the empirical literature by arguing that farmers diversify their farming activities by focussing on both on-farm and off-farm diversification strategies. More importantly, the provision of extension service and female headship of the household is an important driver of diversification

Perspectives

It is my hope that this article will contribute towards the search for an alternative livelihood diversification strategies and global discussion on climate change in developing countries.
