New chiral and spiranic 1,3,4-thiadiazoles and 1,4,2-oxathiazoles from (1R)-thiocamphor

What is it about?

New chiral spiranic 1,3,4-thiadiazoles and 1,4,2-oxathiazoles were diastereoselectively prepared using 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of (1R)-thiocamphor with Arylonitrile oxides and N-Aryl-C-ethoxycarbonylnitrilimines respectively.
