What is it about?

Reactions of enaminonitrile derivative with a variety of reagents lead to the syntheses of novel 1,2,4-triazepin , 1,4-thiazepinone , oxazocines , , oxadiazocines , , and pyrroldiones 22 with the aim to explore the use of this exceptionally reactive enaminonitrile in heterocyclic synthesis. Newly synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analyses and spectral data (IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and MS).
