What is it about?
Nanobiocatalysis is a growing field of biocatalysis. The inmobilization of the lipase B of Candida antarctica on titanium oxide nanoparticles with the addition of polyols showed an increased activity and stability.

Why is it important?
Our research found the maximum dispersion limit of an enzyme over titanium dioxide nanoparticles and the mechanism of adsorption. We demonstrated the influence of polyols on the nano-biocatalyst's activity.
Perspectives
This research is relevant in the field of nano-biocatalysis since addresses fundamental knowledge between structure and activity relationships
