What is it about?
This paper presents how Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) has been applied to plan integration and verification activities in an industrial setup.

Why is it important?
Integration and verification activities in large-scale systems is a key cost driver. Therefore, effective planning is key to achieve success. This paper shows how using MBSE for such effort yields considerable benefits, primarily: reduction of planning effort and information consistency.
Perspectives
Research in systems engineering primarily addresses MBSE for conceptual design, system architecture, and early verification and validation. Yet, why not exploring its benefits in other systems engineering activities. A key aspect of this paper is that for the first time MBSE has been used to plan integration and verification strategies.
