What is it about?

In Mexico wastewater reuse for agricultural irrigation is a current and old practice. The use of standards copied from developing countries was hampering this beneficial practice. The paper relates how this was found and the process followed to develop a legal framework and wastewater treatment options appropriate to our needs. This was done well before the 2006 WHO guidelines were released or the recognition from UN on the benefits of reusing water or using wastewater as a source for soil nutrients
