What is it about?
The work is on the application of a Sustainability Indicators System (SIS), developed by Gaudencio (2018), to assess the sustainability of offshore oil and gas production units. The SIS is based on a systemic analysis of offshore production units operating under different environmental and operational conditions, considering the multidisciplinary concept of sustainability.

Why is it important?
The results of the application of the system of sustainability indicators, based on multicriterial and multiple decision maker analysis, indicate that the system has the best characteristics in terms of representativeness, measurability, reproducibility, sensitivity, and robustness, indicating the possibility of its application to production units of oil and gas in operation in an offshore environment.
