What is it about?

The poor ergonomic conditions in the workplaces, particularly assembly line might cause more errors and deviations, which consequently reduce the quality of products in the manufacturing industry. The question is whether better ergonomic conditions could reduce errors and increase the quality of products.

Why is it important?

The costs of errors and quality deviations are increasingly high in the manufacturing industry. The manufacturing industries search the methods to reduce these errors. Ergonomics is a modality that could not only prevent MSDs but also reduce costs.

Perspectives

Need to further research concerning the effect of the other dimensions of ergonomics on quality of products.
