What is it about?

Chromatin remodeling protein can make chromatin in an "open" status for the access of transcriptional factors. We have shown for the first time that CHD1L is dynamically expressed during hepatocyte differentiation and can open chromatin for developmental transcriptional factors. Activation of CHD1L enables HCC cells with progenitor cell like properties and poor differentiation.
