What is it about?
I. The COVID-19 pandemic and the need to ensure public and health care provider safety and continuity of mental health care provision has necessitated alternative strategies for service delivery. II. Applications of the use of Telehealth for Old Age Psychiatry include assessment of mental state, cognitive function and aspects of physical examination as well as applications to capacity assessments, including assessments for involuntary detention. III. A range of challenges of Telehealth in Older Adult Psychiatry include those related to privacy, confidentiality and technological issues.
