Thermo‐tectonic history of the Northeast Sichuan Basin, Southwest China, using apatite fission‐track analysis, vitrinite reflectance, and basin modelling: Implications for hydrocarbon prospectivity

What is it about?

We discuss the use of apatite fission-track analysis and basin modeling to reconstruct the thermo-tectonic history and further constrain the evolution of the petroleum systems, the case of the Northeast Sichuan Foreland Basin. Through the study, we conduct integrated modeling and analysis of thermochronological, borehole, geological, and seismic data.
