What is it about?

It is very noisy when HV motor is operating. How can we know the motor may be in trouble in near future? The traditional methods such as acoustic detection or use the current transformer to measure partial discharge(PD) at the neutral are not sensitive. This paper violates the conventional idea. Use the sensitive coil sensor to detect PD at the grounded metal frame of the motor. The PD signals clearly identify the defect motor.

Why is it important?

This detection method improve the reliability of the motor. Then, increases the system performance.

Perspectives

Nearly most electrical experts do not believe the results of our research since 2007. Our papers were rejected by many experts and professors again and once again. However, numerous experiment results alter their thoughts. I wish those "so-call" experts can accept the new research what they not touch.
