Why is it important?

The scope of reusing treated tannery wastewater in tannery industry has been demonstrated.

Perspectives

This is a low pressure membrane process using low cost ceramic membrane with ease of cleaning and regeneration. Low cost ceramic membrane based small capacity units are in operation for more than 12 years for drinking water production from arsenic and iron contaminated groundwater.
