Why is it important?

The reason of the efficient As removal using optimized Fe-montmorillonite was explained based on spectroscopy.

Perspectives

The removal of low concentration of arsenic is one of the most wide environmental problems in the world. Besides the importance of the efficient adsorbent in this study, the adsorption mechanism by means of X-ray absorption fine structure clarified in this study is fundamentally important.
