What is it about?

There are many drugs that act by binding to other molecules in our bodies. Frontal analysis is a way of measuring the strength of drug's binding to another molecule. However, the problem is that the drug needs to bind to a large protein in order for frontal analysis measurements to be accurate. We calculated a new correction factor for frontal analysis which corrects the errors associated with molecule size differences.

Why is it important?

This work is important because frontal analysis is now accurate over a much larger range of drug-binding scenarios. Frontal analysis is no longer limited to small drug-large molecule binding, but can also be extended to molecules close in size. Further, frontal analysis is a fast and affordable method for assaying drug-binding strength to target.
