What is it about?

Urbanization and water pollution impacted bats independently. Different species of bats were affected differently.

Why is it important?

Our findings suggest bats can indicate the environmental condition of a place. Meanwhile, we can also use water quality and how urban a place is to predict how well a specific species of bat survives at that place.

Perspectives

It is important to examine biological processes at multiple scales. Standardized sampling methods will allow biologists to do so at a very broad scale.
