What is it about?

This paper reviews the immunophenotypic features of the most common chronic lymphoproliferative neoplasms and presents the GBCFLUX consensus of antibody panels for their diagnoses in a systematic, step-wise, cost-effective and reproducible approach.

Why is it important?

It is important to disseminate laboratory good practices for the immunophenotypic diagnosis of the most frequent chronic lymphoproliferative neoplasms.

Perspectives

Multiparametric flow cytometry is a powerful tool for the diagnosis of hematological malignancies and has been useful for the classification of chronic lymphoproliferative disorders according to the WHO criteria around the world. The Brazilian Group of Flow Cytometry (GBCFLUX) discussed about the most relevant markers to achieve an accurate diagnosis and the panels suggested could be very helpful in 4-fluorescence flow cytometers scenery.
