What is it about?

We simulate the polymer filling process for the irregular cavity with several inserts. The development of melt front and the distribution of stresses are given. The influences of the parameters for the stresses are analysed.

Why is it important?

The polymer filling process for the cavity with several irregular inserts has been rarely investigated. It is difficult to receive the information about stresses only via experiments. Therefore, numerical simulation is a useful and efficient way to help engineers to study the polymer filling process.

Perspectives

I hope this article will provide a new numerical method for the engineering problems and also give some useful instructions for the related engineers.
