What is it about?

We advocate writing with the active voice: The agent of the sentence precedes a vigorous verb to make it short and precise. The passive voice puts the patient at the beginning of the sentence and the agent is either missing or obscure.

Why is it important?

Writing well helps clarify your thoughts that in turn helps your reader understand your work.

Perspectives

Writing active sentences is much harder than passive sentences. After a while you will get used to it and then passive sentences will become annoying!
