What is it about?
M2 subtype macrophages have been documented to be able to promote the metastasis of cancer cells. the underlying mechanism behind, however, remains largely unknown. here in our study it was found that MCP2, released from M2 subtype macrophages, was shown to be capable of promoting the migration and invasion of ESCC cells through activation of NF-kB signaling pathway, suggesting that targting against MCP2 could be of translational significance.
