Synthetic Aurones: New Features for Schistosoma mansoni Therapy

What is it about?

In this work we show how synthetic compounds - aurones - can be useful as base compounds for the development of new anthelmintics.

Why is it important?

Helminthiases, such as schistosomiasis, cause high morbidity, that is, they reduce people's quality of life and affect their productive capacity. Thus, therapeutic proposals are important in combating these diseases.
