What is it about?
Influence of chemotherapy on thyroid function in patients with early breast cancer.

Why is it important?
72 patients were included, and the assessment was performed before and after the chemotherapy. Our results show a statistically significant decrease in thyroid function after the chemotherapy, however, these changes were within the reference range and thus without clinical significance for these patients.
Perspectives
With our results, we hope to add an acknowledgement of the widely used breast cancer treatments and their consequences, which might affect the quality of life.
