What is it about?

This study introduces a new software tool named ECDAT (short for Electrical Circuit Description and Analysis Tool) designed to aid students studying electrical and electronics engineering at the undergraduate level. While traditional tools like SPICE provide only circuit simulation outputs, ECDAT goes a step further. It doesn't just give the final results like voltage or current; it also provides a detailed breakdown of the steps, equations, and calculations used to arrive at those results. ECDAT currently focuses on analyzing simple direct electric circuits and differs from conventional tools by employing a unique method of graph analysis for circuit assessment, rather than the modified nodal analysis commonly used in SPICE-based programs.
