What is it about?
The developing brain is vulnerable to numerous environmental insults including anesthetic exposures during surgeries. Using mouse as a model system, this article demonstrated that early-life exposure to anesthetic-sevoflurane impairs both social interaction and cognition later on in life. This study sheds light on the risks of exposing children to anesthetics during surgeries.
