The article analyses the changes in mortality from stroke in Klaipeda (Lithuania). The data on the evolution of mortality from stroke in Eastern European countries is limited, thus this article partly fills this gap. The article presents the mortality from stroke data between the sexes and different age groups. The authors analyse the potential factors that might affect mortality from stroke changes over the past two decades in the city of Klaipeda. The study emphasises the large concern of middle-aged population mortality changes in Klaipeda.
