Incisional NPWT reduces the risk of post-surgical wound complications

What is it about?

This paper examines the effect of incisional Negative Pressure Wound Therapy for closed surgical incisions. In a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials we demonstrate that prophylactic use of iNPWT reduces the risk of post-surgical wound complications with focus on infection, dehiscence and seroma formation.
