Recent increase in heat wave frequency around Mongolia

What is it about?

Heat wave frequency has increased in the past few decades in worldwide, therefore, this phenomenon is investigated in the northern Eurasia. This study has found an increasing heat wave frequency around Mongolia that is not common in the Eurasia. Further discussion is carried out for the mechanism of heat wave.

Why is it important?

The frequent heat wave has occurred in the past 30 years in Mongolia with the significant level. This study is concluded that the drier soil conditions played a role in enhancing the frequency and intensity of heat wave and localization around Mongolia.
