We can protect cartilage from the negative effects of injury by preventing the expression of primary response genes.

Why is it important?

Knee injuries such as meniscal or ACL tears often lead to arthritis. Yet current clinical care of these injuries does not address future OA. We think this is an oversight, and would like to treat injuries to also help prevent future OA.
