What is it about?

Flame retardancy is an important property required by foams to prevent fire hazards. This paper shows synthesis and properties of newly developed reactive flame retardants for permanent flame retardancy to the foams.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that aromatic and aliphatic structures have significant effect on flame retardancy of the foams. Moreover, halogens also act in condensed phase improving char formation for fire retardancy as phosphorus based flame retardants.

Perspectives

This article provides structure property relationship with wide research details for new materials. Hence, it would be a piece of contribution to scientific study. I hope this knowledge serves its purpose for wide range of applications.
