What is it about?
In this review, we explain the transition metal catalyzed site selective alkynylation both C(sp2 )

Why is it important?
Alkynylation reactions are one of the most sought-after synthetic methodologies due to the versatility of C-C triple bond diversifications.
Perspectives
DG-free approaches where the site selectivity and efficiency will be decided by the intrinsic functional groups or the ligands would be the future of C-H alkylation reactions. Expanding the substrate scope for enantioselective functionalization under milder conditions would be another immediate aspect that needs to be considered
