What is it about?
Heaxagonal boron nitride (hBN) is also called as "white graphene". The main discriminatory advantages of hBN is that it has a wide direct bandgap of ~ 6 eV. In this work we have reported the nonlinear optical properties of hBN nanosheets which may trigger interest in finding the applications of this material in bio-imaging as the bio-compatibility of this material has already been proved earlier by other researchers.

Perspectives
I think it is most appropriate to put here the perspective (a part of the comment) of a Learner reviewer about this work-- "Hexagonal boron nitride,------ have currently drawn increasing attention in the past a few years. However, discovery of nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of 2D h-BN nanosheets (h-BNN) remains challenging. Pathik Kumbhakar and co-authors report NLO properties of h-BNN by Z-scan technique for the first time,-------------, which may make some potential applications of h-BNN available.--------"
