What is it about?

In this chapter, the electrical explosion of wires as a method for nanometals production is described. The pulsed, ultrafast and nonequilibrium process of the electrical explosion leads to the formation of nanoparticles characterized by metastable state that results in the higher reactivity of nanopowders in chemical processes. The mechanism of the formation of explosion products is discussed. The functional design of the machine for nanopowder production is presented. The methods for regulation of nanopowder characteristics are reviewed.
