It is important for people to understand the complexities that people with profound learning disabilities face with epilepsy. Due to their cognitive impairment they experience a number of different types of seizures.

Perspectives

Epilepsy is more prevalent in people with profound and complex learning disabilities and they are not often recognised as a population group when it comes to research or publications relating to epilepsy.
