What is it about?
Environment-friendly finishing processes are being researched and developed using almost without water, minimizing the consumption of chemicals and energy considerably, and replacing toxic chemicals with nontoxic substances. In this chapter, environment-friendly textile finishing chemistries, processes, and techniques are overviewed.

Why is it important?
Textile finishing units use a large volume of water and huge amounts of numerous toxic chemicals. Energy consumptions of conventional textile finishing processes are very high. Finishing processes generate a high volume of wastewaters of great chemical complexity. Therefore, textile finishing can create an impact on the environment substantially. research on environment-friendly finishing processes are, therefore, very important.
