What is it about?

This article provides an overview of relevant contextual conditions for media usage in the six European countries that are in the focus: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. The main section on findings regarding media usage in these countries starts with indicators for technical infrastructure and access; then it provides comparative findings regarding key indicators of media usage such as daily reach and duration of use; and finally it discusses selected evidence on some key issues linked with convergent media environments.
