What is it about?

Nitric Oxide is an important trace gas in the MLT region which radiate the infrared radiation emission into space. NO emission also play a crucial role to regulate the heat budget in the MLT region during the magnetic disturb conditions.

Why is it important?

The role of the different chemical scheme is clearly explained in the paper to understand the contribution of each chemical scheme. The global variation of NO emission and O/N2 ratio shows an excellent correlation.
