Concentration-discharge relationships can change over time, season, or discharge. An alternative approach is proposed to make improved interpretation of riverine concentration-discharge relationships and their uncertainties. Application of the proposed approach clearly reaffirms long-term decline in sediment trapping behind Conowingo Dam on Susquehanna River.
