Why is it important?
Nowadays, detailed bed morphology map can be obtained frequently by using multibeam echo sounding or green laser scanning. The proposed approach fully utilize the bed map data to quantify the sediment flux which differs depending on location and time. Namely, spatiotemporal distribution of sediment flux in sand bed rivers can be estimated using the proposed method.
