What is it about?

This paper is about the interpretation of directions and relative magnitude of tectonic stress in a fold and thrust belt, based on anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility and compaction studies in a Permic Gondwanaland basin.

Why is it important?

It is important because with these methods it is possible to understand the tectonic stress in some places that it is not so easy to evidences of them in the field. The results are also important to understand the Permic Gondwana structuration.

Perspectives

The paper is usefull because of the used methodologies, anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility and compaction, and allow to understand the regional structuration in the Permic of Gondwana.
