What is it about?
The total quantity and types of micrometeoritic material that has been raining on the earth has been deciphered

Why is it important?
This adds to the known knowledge-base on the micrometeoroid complex and the contribution from different types of cosmic materials
Perspectives
Only when we look at large quantities of material where micrometeorites can accumulate we can penetrate deeper than the "tip of the iceberg" knowledge on cosmic material that rains on the earth and the information that this material brings.
