What is it about?

SEMQ provides research on enrollment practices for practitioners and the higher education community. It is a peer-reviewed journal that provides rigorous study of the field in order to inform and improve practice.

Why is it important?

As a relatively young profession, strategic enrollment management has not yet benefitted from a journal that applies academic research standards to our practices. SEMQ applies academic journal standards to provide high-quality research and writing to practitioners worldwide.

Perspectives

I serve as editor-in-chief of SEMQ. The journal is a product of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), a nonprofit higher education association serving 11,000 members in 42 countries. We are the leading publisher of strategic enrollment management (SEM) literature and content in the world. We draw from research from our own association members but also broadly from higher education researchers.
