What is it about?
In this study we looked at how well two ultrasound markers performed in predicting 'twin anemia polycythemia sequence (TAPS)' a disorder that can develop during pregnancy in twins that share one placenta. We found that the new ultrasound maker (large inter-twin difference in blood flow velocity in one of the brain vessels) is a sensitive tool to predict TAPS, and is superior to the currently used marker.
