Fetal right ventricular aneurysm caused by chronic progressive myocardial ischemia

What is it about?

Case report of a fetus diagnosed with aneurysm (outpouching) of the right ventricular free wall. We have also provided histology (tissue photograph) of the affected fetal heart segment. This suggests that the defect was due to reduced blood supply to the heart segment. This has not been reported before in the literature. This piece of information is useful in prognosis and counselling.
