What is it about?

Test case prioritization aims at scheduling test cases in an order that improves some performance goal. This study proposes a cost‐effective method of prioritizing modified condition decision coverage (MCDC) test cases. The method is entirely based on mathematics.

Why is it important?

Cost of software testing can be more than half of total cost of software development process and more mathematical approaches are needed in this area. Fourier analysis of Boolean functions seems to be a good mathematical tool for this purpose.
