What is it about?
We analyzed daily, monthly, annual, maximum and minimum discharges of the Adaim River in Iraq which is a major tributary to the River Tigris. The analyses were performed using various prpbability distributions. In addition, the flow duration curves were derived and fitted to a suitable probability distribution. The effect of a probable climate change on rainfall in the river basin was also discussed.

Why is it important?
The performed streamflow analyses can be used to forcast river flow fluctuations in the future, so that appropriate planning decisions concerning the development of the river basin can be made.
