What is it about?

The authors of Demystifying China’s Innovation Machine: Chaotic Order thoroughly evaluate China’s prosperity of innovation in the 21st century and propose their vison of China’s future in Innovation. The authors assert that China’s thriving is largely driven by significant collaboration in the eco-social system between institutions, both social and commercial, and local levels of government, which in turn are adjusted by the central government. Supportive governmental policies in basic science, basic research, R&D, big data, computing, and more, accelerate the pace of innovation development. These updated policies and mutual commitments between the Chinese people and all levels of government will determine the efficacy of China’s transition from an innovation imitator to an innovation leader.
