Why is it important?

The article tells of the potentiality of imagining a secret history, especially in the Austronesian world. The imagination of a secret history allows one to envision how the prevailing social order is grounded on a historical falsehood and vulnerable to the revelation of the true history.

Perspectives

Aside from leading me to a new way of looking at the dynamics of precedence in the region, writing this article gave me a better understanding of the power of suspicion. Regardless of its negative overtone, suspicion cultivates hope.
